Matt Craig lives in Rockford, MI with his wife and three daughters. Matt earned his undergraduate degree from USD in 2003 in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He began working as an hourly associate at Wal-Mart while enrolled at USD. His career with Wal-Mart included various roles in store operations including assistant manager, developing store manager and corporate inventory flow manager. After eight years at Wal-Mart, Craig decided to take an opportunity to lead store operations for Lotus Supercenters of Shanghai. After three years in China, Craig accepted a job in Northwest Michigan as the director of store operations for Meijer and decided to go back to school to earn his MBA at Michigan State University.
Matt currently serves as President of Miller Amish Country Poultry. Prior to that, he held multiple positions Meijer, Inc., including market director, director of meat and seafood, group vice president stores, and most recently regional vice president - Eastern Region in Detroit, MI. Outside of retail, he and his wife, Jessica, have started two businesses since 2009 - Craig Farms, LLC and Campfire Holdings, LLC. The Craigs are focused on teaching their children about business and entrepreneurship through managing these businesses with them in the future.
Matt Craig received USD's Alumni Emerging Leader award in 2017.
