The USD food pantry relies on donations and funding from the Associated Student Government, the Torero Renaissance Scholars Program and generous students like you. You'll find our pantry in a convenient location at Hahn University Center (UC) 116, between Commuter Commons and the Center for Student Success. It's easy to access and close to other student services.
Eligibility for the USD Pantry is open to all students in need. Our mission is to be inclusive and prevent any of our students from facing food scarcity. To use the pantry, simply complete the registration form. For further assistance and details on registration, feel free to reach out to us at usdfoodpantry@sandiego.edu.
Registration for the pantry is necessary to help us keep track of usage statistics for our partnership with the San Diego Food Bank. This involves reporting the number of unique users and their visits. We assure you that your personal details, including your name, are kept confidential. Registration is required only to monitor the frequency of pantry use for reporting purposes.
The questions on the registration form are designed to help USD better understand and address student needs related to food and housing security. Your responses help us advocate for more resources like the pantry and additional support services. Rest assured, your individual answers remain confidential and are only used in a collective, aggregate form for analysis and advocacy purposes.
We strive to accommodate all dietary needs. Please indicate any specific requirements on the registration form so we can tailor our offerings to you. For example, after learning about a student's need for vitamins, we now include them regularly. If you have any specific requests or suggestions, jot them down on the inside of the pantry door on the left and we'll consider them for our future shopping lists.
