Advancing Student Success Through Fraternity & Sorority Life.
The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of San Diego believes that every chapter has the opportunity to create a thriving community for its members and shares a collective responsibility to elevate the entire fraternity and sorority experience through continuous improvement. The Thrive Accreditation Program empowers chapters to determine their own unique path to success. Rather than a “one-size-fits-all” model, Thrive encourages chapters to assess their current realities, set meaningful goals, and reflect on both achievements and areas for growth.
Additionally, the Thrive Accreditation Program aligns with the expectations and reporting requirements outlined in California Assembly Bill 524 (AB 524). All chapters are expected to fully participate in and complete the program to the best of their ability.
THRIVE is a chapter accreditation program that sets the standards and expectations for all fraternities and sororities at USD. Designed to support holistic chapter development, THRIVE involves multiple chapter officers in completing key components tied to leadership, community engagement, operations, and values alignment. The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (OFSL) partners with chapters through leadership programming and chapter coaching to help them achieve accreditation and ensure that their goals reflect both student leadership growth and chapter priorities.
Below, chapters will find all the resources and tools needed to complete the THRIVE accreditation program successfully. If you or your chapter has any questions, please reach out to fsl@sandiego.edu.
