Join the Community!
At the University of San Diego, Fraternity and Sorority Life offers a variety of joining experiences, each supported by our governing councils and chapters.
We encourage you to take some time to explore each community’s recruitment or intake process to discover the experience that best aligns with the values, connections, and sense of belonging you’re seeking at USD.
To participate in a recruitment or intake process, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. Please note that individual chapters may have higher GPA requirements and requirements for membership. If you have questions regarding the joining experience, please reach out to fsl@sandiego.edu.
For details specific to each council, please visit the individual Council Recruitment/Intake pages linked below.
The University of San Diego is a deferred recruitment campus
This means that all students must complete 12 units at USD or have 24 transfer units to be eligible for recruitment/intake and membership in a fraternity or sorority. Students also must meet a minimum cumulative GPA requirement.
USD does not include previous institutions' GPAs in the cumulative total. Students may confirm their total units and GPA at USD by contacting the Registrar or by looking at MySanDiego portal. Only official USD transcripts are used to confirm eligibility.
