In the College of Arts and Sciences, we are dedicated to supporting faculty as they navigate their career through a robust faculty mentoring program that includes, pedagogical feedback and support, scholarship development and attention to professional growth.
We believe, faculty mentoring can be a powerful mechanism for ensuring faculty learn about the expectations and norms of any institution, but an equity informed, mission driven approach, is also about creating new inclusive practices that ask departments to update promotion and tenure criteria, invest in peer evaluation of teaching and align scholarship expectations to embrace the breadth of interdisciplinary approaches.
