Professor Brinig teaches Finance and Accounting for Lawyers.

Professional Experience

Professor Brinig is both a lawyer and CPA and managing director in the San Diego office of CBIZ-MHM, a national financial services firm.  He is the author of Finance & Accounting for Lawyers (2020: BVResources, LLC, Portland, OR) and Mastering the Art of Expert Witness Testimony (2022: Burlington Business Press, New York).  He has qualified as an expert witness in more than 250 jury trials in federal and state courts on financial and economic issues.  He has taught continuing education courses to the State Bar of California, the National Judicial College and other professional organizations on financial issues and techniques of expert witness testimony.

Honors and Affiliations

Brinig is a past president of the Financial Analysts Society of San Diego, past chair of the Business Valuation Committee of the California Society of CPAs, and past member of the board of directors of the San Diego Society of CPAs.
