Riley Elliott holds BS and MS Industrial Engineering degrees from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and currently serves on their Advisory Board. In addition, he is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Riley leads the Industrial Engineering team at Viasat in sunny Carlsbad, CA. He has been a Viasat employee since 2012 and before leading the IE team, he developed extensive experience in Manufacturing Program Management. Riley pitched, chartered, and formed the IE team in June 2018. The Viasat IE group derives quantitative decision making in the pursuit of test time reduction, yield improvement, and asset utilization. We employ advanced discrete event simulation to quantify manufacturing processes, and are chartering new ways to employ data science to maximize the potential of our manufacturing organization.
Riley currently resides in Solana Beach with his wife Leah. The couple welcomed their first child March 30th 2019.
