Holly Lyons graduated from USD with a BS/BA in Industrial & Systems Engineering and Liberal Arts. Upon completing her degree, she joined Goodrich Aerostructures in Chula Vista, California as a buyer working in Supply Chain. As a buyer, she interfaced with the engineering and quality organizations and learned both the tactical and strategic sides of procurement and sourcing. After several years of working with suppliers in low cost regions, she transitioned into Supply Chain Continuous Improvement where she led a team focused on using Lean Manufacturing principles to improve throughput, cost, and quality at these suppliers.

In July of 2012, Goodrich was acquired by United Technologies Corporation (UTC) and the Chula Vista site became part of the UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) division. Holly is now the Associate Director of Supplier Performance working with suppliers in the Western United States and Mexico. In this role, Holly manages a team responsible for driving sustained improvement at suppliers in the areas of on time delivery and quality. To identify issues and provide solutions to improve performance, she and her organization rely on tools such as value stream mapping, time observations, standard work, statistical process control, root cause analysis, as well as other Lean and Six Sigma tools. Holly currently resides in San Diego with her husband.
