Estrellina Pacis is the Engineering Manager for the Joint Robotics Program's Technology Transfer Project at SPAWAR Systems Center, San Diego's Unmanned Systems Branch. She currently manages the integration and evaluation of robotic technologies developed in the R&D environment at other government labs, academia and private industry, addressing the needs identified by the soldiers using the current remote controlled systems for the EOD missions. The most mature technologies are optimized for transition to man-portable robots, allowing for autonomous navigation, surveillance and reconnaissance. She received her BS/BA in Electrical Engineering from USD in 2002, and is currently pursuing the Systems Engineering certificate at UCSD.
