The University of San Diego's Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering is committed to being an anchor institution for our community. Each year, USD's Engineering Exchange for Social Justice sponsors community-focused capstone design projects related to social and environmental justice. Students work with mentors from nonprofit organizations or community groups to collaboratively develop engineering solutions in impactful, real-world scenarios. These projects allow students to develop their engineering skills, solving problems that will have a positive impact on their community. Want to make an impact? A community project might be right for you.
