Rasheed Behrooznia is currently working as vice president of engineering at Cubic Transportation Systems for both North and South America. He successfully manages the entire engineering team to meet company's goals and enhance growth. After graduating from USD in 2002, he worked at Nicom Networks as a software engineer, performing Linux based programming relating to pay-for-service Internet in hotel rooms. He then worked his way up through Lockheed Martin for almost nine years, as senior software engineer, integrated product team lead and engineering product line program manager.
From 2009-11, he completed his Master's Degree in Systems Engineering at George Washington University. He then started working at Cubic Transportation Systems and spent two and a half years as senior principal software engineer for the company. He was promoted about two years ago as vice president of engineering and has held this position since then.
Behrooznia received USD's Author E. Hughes Career Achievement award in April of 2018.
