A Testing Ground for Your Business Idea
The Torero Venture Lab (TVL) is a class co-taught by faculty from the University of San Diego's business and engineering schools that gives USD students the unique opportunity to test their business ideas before bringing them to market. Through an experiential, interdisciplinary, and immersive educational experience in entrepreneurship, students further develop their skills in technology and market research and learn how to build a founding team.

Build a Prototype
The Torero Ventures Lab helps you focus on customer discovery and prototyping. Students work on creating prototypes and conduct market research to discover their first set of early adopter consumers, moving them one step closer to launching their venture.
Take the Class
The Torero Ventures Lab is a 4-unit class open to USD undergraduate juniors and seniors from all majors as well as graduate students from any discipline.
To get admitted, students must participate in a competitive pitch in the spring semester and begin the Torero Ventures Lab class the following fall semester. Once accepted, students are paired with USD faculty and expert mentors, as well as members of the local entrepreneurship community.
This class is limited to 25 students and an instructor's consent is required to be enrolled.
