Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. – Pi Mu Chapter was chartered at San Diego State University in 1983, bringing the rich legacy of Omega to the San Diego region. Omega Psi Phi holds the historic distinction of being the first international fraternal organization founded on the campus of a historically Black college, established at Howard University in 1911. The men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. are guided by the principle that “Friendship is essential to the soul.” This belief is not only spoken—it’s lived out daily through a commitment to uplifting one another, forging deep brotherhood, and serving their communities with pride and purpose.
