Assistant Professor, Mathematics
Dr. Bennet Goeckner received his PhD in mathematics from the University of Kansas in 2018. Prior to arriving at USD, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Washington and a MSRI/Simons postdoctoral fellow. His research focuses on the connections between combinatorics, algebra, and topology, and it has applications to algorithm design, particle physics, and DNA sequencing.
He looks forward to collaborating with USD students on undergraduate research projects. Outside of math, he enjoys playing board games with his wife and sons, Charlie and George.
