During Weeks of Welcome (WoW) you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other students and campus resources, attend a variety of informative and social events, and enter to win exciting giveaways all while enjoying free food, merch and more!
Tuesday 9/1 - Pop Start
10:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Colachis Plaza (In front of the Immaculata)
Stop by Pop Start for free Pop-Up bagels, school supplies, a photo booth, grocery totes, Golden Crumbs cake pops, and a chance to learn about the Torero HUB and Center for Student Success to help start your semester off on the right foot. Start the semester prepared, connected, and ready to take on the year!

Thursday 9/3 - Camp PDC
12:15 PM - 2:15 PM | Paseo de Colachis (Student lawn)
Join us for an afternoon of camp-inspired fun: games, s'mores, crafts, and free goodies! In collaboration with Outdoor Adventures, get a peek at some camping rentals they have for students. This is the perfect way to spend your first Torero hours of the year to unwind, have fun, and get some free swag.
Friday 9/4 - Shop & Stock
2:00 PM - 7:00 PM | Mission Valley Shopping District
Need to stock up on groceries and supplies? We've got your back with FREE LYFT codes to Mission Valley Target and Trader Joe’s. Take advantage of the free ride to Mission Valley and back for all your essentials and grocery needs!

Saturday 9/5 - Torero Tailgate
6:30 PM Tailgate & 7:00 PM Kickoff | Torero Stadium
Let’s get loud at Torero Stadium! Come support USD Football, get some free Board and Brew sandwiches, and participate in a raffle! Enter to win exclusive prizes. Show up early to get your food, a FREE t-shirt, and enjoy the fun at the game!

Monday 9/7 - Rise and Flow
7:00 AM & 8:00 AM | Palomar Health Student Wellness Center Field
Start your week off with a mat Pilates event hosted at the Palomar Health Student Wellness Center. This is your chance to win some wellness-related items and have some yummy Jamba juice smoothies. Show off your yogi and meet us on the grass for an active morning!

Thursday 9/10 - Mass of the Holy Spirit

The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a long-standing tradition that marks the beginning of the academic year. All students, faculty, and staff are invited to gather in community and prayer at the Immaculata as we ask for wisdom, peace, and guidance in the semester ahead. Hosted by the University Ministry, this celebration is open to all members of the USD community.
Thursday 9/10 - Arcade After Dark
8:00 PM - 10:00 PM | Palomar Health Student Wellness Center Outdoor Courts
Join us for a fun-fueled night of classic arcade games, a Mario Kart competition, and a Habit Burger Food Truck! Take a break from your week and have delicious food and play tons of fun games!
Saturday 9/12 - Little Italy Farmers' Market
8:00 AM - 2:00 PM | Little Italy
Get a FREE LYFT code to the Little Italy Farmer’s Market! This is a great way to spend the day outdoors and explore San Diego's largest farmers' market!

Sunday 9/13 - Day on the Bay
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM | Mission Bay Aquatic Center
Join Torero Program Board for a Day on the Bay at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center. FREE LYFT codes and rentals will be provided for students. Enjoy the day and explore the Mission Bay water activities and free food!

Tuesday 9/15 - Alcalá Bazaar
12:15pm - 2:15pm | Paseo De Colachis
The Alcalá Bazaar takes place at the start of each semester at USD, and provides a space for students to discover the many opportunities for involvement that are available! Student organizations, university centers and departments, and local vendors come together to meet and greet students and share their positive experiences about getting connected. There's an organization for everyone, including academic, multicultural, changemaker, athletic, spiritual, special interest, and fraternity and sororities. Make USD and San Diego your community by getting involved!
