Wednesday 9/3 - First Day Feels

10:30am - 1:00pm | Colachis Plaza

Kick off your first day of school at USD with familiar faces, succulent plants, and açaí bowls! Discover and connect with some of our Changemaker HUB staff and Associated Student Government representatives to learn how you can become a changemaker at USD.

• Jump into the fall semester with us & take your first day of class photo at our photo booth!
• Enjoy an açaí bowl from The Write Juice & grab a succulent to start the day off right!

Thursday 9/4 - Night Under the Stars

7:30pm | Paseo de Colachis

Treat yourself to a movie night under the stars with friends, good vibes, and sweet treats. Take a break to unwind and watch the new F1 movie, starring Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton. Make sure to bring a blanket or chair!

• Gather with friends & soak up the last few summer nights with an outdoor movie!

Saturday 9/6 - USD Football Game & Torero Tailgate

5:00pm Tailgate & 6:00pm Kickoff | Torero Stadium

Celebrate game day with the Toreros at our student tailgate and football game as the USD Toreros take on the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. Enjoy food, music, giveaways, and Island Culture Night as we kick off the season at Torero Stadium.

• Come early, bring your energy, and show your USD spirit all evening long with friends & fellow Toreros!

Sunday 9/7 - Women’s Soccer Tailgate

4:00pm Tailgate & 5:00pm Game Start | Torero Stadium

Join us for a superhero-themed tailgate and Women’s soccer game while the USD Toreros compete against the UC Riverside Highlanders. Come with energy and enjoy In-N-Out burgers, score exclusive giveaways, and enter for a chance to win tickets to a San Diego Wave Fútbol Club match.

Sunday 9/7 - Sunday Night Mass

6:00pm & 8:00pm | Founders Chapel

Join in the first Sunday Mass of the year to connect with the campus spiritual community. Sunday Night Mass is held every Sunday during the Fall and Spring semesters for students and USD community members.

Monday 9/8 - Global Threads

1:30pm - 4:00pm | Plaza de San Diego

Join us for a celebration of culture through creativity at our Global Threads event. Stop by for an afternoon of tie-dyeing your own tee and an opportunity to learn about cultural dyeing techniques in partnership with the International Center.

• Free shirts and supplies provided!
• Grab a tasty empanada or spam musubi in between classes!

Tuesday 9/9 - Be Well @ USD Fair

12:15pm - 2:15pm | Palomar Health Student Wellness Center Plaza

Discover wellness at USD and get connected to the wellness community at the Be Well Fair! Take some time to learn about the amazing organizations, resources, and departments here at USD that help facilitate your well-being.

• Participate in our passport activity to enter our exclusive raffle for amazing prizes!

It’s time to explore what wellness looks like for you! Whether it involves movement, games, relaxing activities, or grabbing a snack - this event is here for you to find your fit!

• Join us for a night of sunset yoga, bingo, giveaways, & a chance to test your skills in the NEW E-sports Lounge! Everyone who checks into the Wellness Center from 6:00pm - 9:00pm will be entered to win raffle prizes!

Thursday 9/11 - Mass of the Holy Spirit

Join the campus spiritual community in a long-standing university tradition: to rededicate ourselves to USD’s mission, to renew friendships, and to welcome new members! All students, faculty, and staff are invited to gather in community and prayer as we ask for wisdom, peace, and guidance in this semester ahead.

Saturday 9/13 - San Diego Foodie Tour

9:00am - 9:00pm | San Diego

Time to bring out your “inner-foodie” & find some new places to grab a yummy bite to eat! Whether it’s Hillcrest, Convoy, or Mission & Pacific Beach, immerse yourself in the greater San Diego community through food!

Sunday 9/14 - Splash Back

12:00pm - 3:00pm | Sports Center Pool

Kick back and end your weekend at the pool with friends, music, snacks, and lots of prizes! Enjoy hanging out in the sun and good vibes to end Welcome Week.
