Outdoor Adventures (OA) serves the USD community with opportunities to experience outdoor activities that aim to promote personal growth, leadership development, relationship building and environmental responsibility.
With a focus on outdoor recreation, environmental education, leadership development and team building, we offer a variety of outings locally, regionally and internationally. Pre-Orientation Adventure, overnight trips, outdoor recreation classes and day trips around San Diego are a few examples. We also operate a resource center and rental shop that provides outdoor recreation equipment and trip planning resources for individuals and groups that choose to venture on their own excursions.
Outdoor Adventures is also a hub for people interested in living an active, outdoor lifestyle that strives to create a balance between humanity and the natural world. There are many ways to get involved and a it’s a great community to connect with. So join us for your next adventure as we share what we love about San Diego and beyond.

Pre-Orientation Adventure
Pre-Orientation Adventure is an optional program that helps ease the transition to USD by giving small groups of incoming students a chance to connect with amazing student leaders and meet new friends.
Rentals
We rent a large variety of outdoor equipment at great rates that are designed to alleviate the high cost of buying equipment.
Become a Guide
Through an extensive training process, students acquire the certifications and develop the outdoor skills and confidence required to lead enjoyable outings. No previous experience is required.
