Planning Events This Year?
Every student organization must designate at least one Event Scheduler. The Event Scheduler is the only member with access to Virtual EMS, where you’ll book rooms on campus or schedule off-campus events.
Accessing Virtual EMS
To submit Event Requests (EvRs), your organization’s Event Scheduler must complete the Student Org Event Planner Training. Starting this year, Event Planner Training has been incorporated into the Student Org Leadership Training (SOLT) modules. To gain access to the training, complete the SOLT Designee Form.
-There are two ways to complete the training:
- Complete all 8 recorded SOLT sessions, which include the Event Planner Training content. After finishing all 8 sessions, complete the SOLT quiz and become a "scheduler".
- Complete only the Event Planner Training content if you do not need to complete the full SOLT course. After finishing the Event Planner Training sessions, complete the Event Planner Training quiz and become a "scheduler".
-Each training option has its own quiz, so be sure to complete the quiz that matches the option you choose.
- Training must be renewed every year.
- Students who completed the training in the previous academic year will keep access until September 30th of the following academic year.
- Starting October 1st, only students who complete the training in the current academic year will have EMS access.
