Take a Colleague Out to Coffee on Us!
The CEE knows that faculty are whole people with whole lives, and we recognize that mentoring and idea-sharing sometimes happens spontaneously throughout our week. A Little Bit of Teaching is an initiative that honors those exchanges. By participating, faculty have the opportunity to:
- Share and learn about teaching and mentoring tips
- Engage in informal relationship building among colleagues
- Get a free treat from the CEE!
Here's how to participate
Put together a gathering or talk a little bit of teaching spontaneously in your conversation/activity. For example, talk about syllabus ideas, how you handled a difficult student situation, grading innovations, or favorite in-class activities--over coffee, at happy hour, on a hike in the canyon, at a backyard bbq, etc.
*Note: Please follow all USD and CDC recommended practices for safe gathering.
Afterward, email us (cee@sandiego.edu) with 1) a group selfie image (see examples below), 2) a sentence about the teaching or mentoring ideas you shared, and 3) an image of your receipt, and we will provide you a reimbursement of $8.00 per person.
