Persons experiencing homelessness may encounter legal issues that create obstacles to their ability to secure housing. For example, misdemeanors such as jaywalking can result in growing fees and fines that only deepen an already dire economic situation. Join us for a conversation with Steve Binder, Esq., co-founder of San Diego’s Homeless Court, and Judge Marian Gaston to learn more about the complicated relationship between homelessness and the court system here in San Diego.

This event is part of the Urgent Challenges Collective's Fall 2020 Speaker Series and is co-hosted with the USD School of Law. Learn more about our other events on our online calendar!
