Research and Scholarship

Student with teacher

At the University of San Diego, research and scholarship strengthen the teaching and learning environment and invigorate intellectual inquiry across the campus. Our faculty, who are recognized nationally and internationally in their fields, collaborate with undergraduate and graduates students on interdisciplinary research and scholarship that focuses on real world problems. Their scholarship is guided by a desire for impact — impact on their field, locally and around the globe.

The university's academic Centers and Institutes bring faculty and students together to pursue research, service and outreach on scholarly and social topics ranging from new enterprises for research and prosperity, Latino/a Catholicism, conflict resolution and human rights, to energy policy issues. These centers and institutes offer faculty and students unique learning and research opportunities and provide direct benefits and services to the San Diego, national and international communities.

We invite you to explore this site to learn more about faculty and student research, scholarship and creative activities, and the support provided for these intellectual endeavors.
