The University of San Diego awards USD Graduate Grants, a need-based scholarship, after a student is admitted. The following details were provided by the USD Office of Financial Aid. Please email torerohub@sandiego.edu for more information.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a form completed by current and prospective graduate students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. Please visit the USD Office of Financial Aid for details.
Prospective students can complete a FAFSA and include as many schools as they like on the application. The USD Office of Financial Aid will only process financial aid offers for students that have been admitted.
The need-based award for graduate students is the USD Graduate Grant. The USD Office of Financial Aid typically begins processing in early March for the upcoming school year, then as students are admitted and new FAFSAs are received, on a rolling basis.
When a financial aid offer is available, students receive an email notification. The actual financial aid offer is available in the My Financial Aid portal. When the offer is available, students receive an email with directions to access the financial aid portal. Please check your USD email account for these notifications.
The need-based grant may be impacted by awards from the department as it relates to the student's financial need. The amount also gets adjusted based on any changes in units. Below is the policy that students must acknowledge with their USD Graduate Grant award.

Additional Opportunities
In addition to scholarships, MS-HA students located in San Diego also have the opportunity to work on campus and with Kroc School faculty and changemaking organizations in internships, fellowships and assistantships.
