PEAR partners with community organizations, governments, and international NGOs to design programs, develop monitoring systems, conduct evaluations, and use evidence to improve practice.
We work with partners throughout the life of a project—from developing a theory of change and identifying useful measures to collecting data, evaluating results, and deciding what to improve next. Our approach combines rigorous research with sustained collaboration so that findings are practical, credible, and useful for decision-making.

Accompaniment at Every Stage
Evaluation is not a single event–it’s an ongoing process of learning and adaptation.
At PEAR, evaluation is not a single event but a living cycle of collaboration and learning. We help partners navigate every stage of their program’s evolution — or join them wherever they are — weaving accompaniment through it all. Our approach ensures that peacebuilding practice remains grounded in evidence, guided by relationship, and adaptive to change.
For Students
Learn Peace Science Through Practice
PEAR provides graduate students with hands-on experience through the Advanced Practicum in Program Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation and faculty-supervised externships with community partners.
Students work on real-world peacebuilding initiatives while developing practical skills in evaluation, data analysis, and organizational learning. Students may also earn a graduate certificate in Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment, and Learning (MEAL).
Graduates leave prepared to work across NGOs, governments, philanthropic organizations, and international institutions.
