In addition to classrooms, lecture halls and auditoriums, USD offers several attractive and versatile meeting venues that are available on a rental basis.

Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice
92,000 square foot structure with a large formal rotunda, 300-seat auditorium, multi-purpose rooms, a large executive conference room and eight state-of-the-art classrooms.
The building also houses courtyards, Garden of the Sky and Garden of the Sea, reflection pools and space for meditation with panoramic views of San Diego Bay. For more detailed information, please see our Kroc Venue Fact Sheet.

This is a 150,000 gross square foot facility that over looks both Mission Bay and San Diego Harbor. The four-story center has a large atrium that features an impressive fiber optic art "sculpture".

Learning Commons
A new contemporary venue for instruction, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, equipped with the latest technology, the building features The Town Square in the center, seating up to 140, “Circa 49” Grab-n-Go, an outdoor event plaza, collaboration/study spaces with wall mounted monitors, a computer lab, and classrooms, including one seating 80 with access to an outdoor patio. The goal for this venue is to stimulate collaboration and social interaction in an effort to maximize the educational experience.
Designed primarily for classroom and flexible interactive study space for the campus community, currently the venue is for USD use only.

Outdoor Spaces
Morning and afternoon breaks, lunches, receptions, dinners and performances can be held in several outdoor venues throughout USD's picturesque campus. Your conference coordinator can assist you with booking these outdoor spaces. Applicable fees will be charged by the USD Facilities Department for event clean-ups.
Many of the university's outdoor spaces have expansive views of San Diego Bay and Tecolote Canyon. With a year-round temperate climate, San Diego is very accommodating for outdoor events.
