Admission Criteria
Apply for the BSN to PhD Program.
- A BSN degree from an approved, accredited college or university
- An unencumbered, active California RN license
- One year of clinical experience is preferred
- A basic statistics course
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Completion of the university application for the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Program
- One official transcript from each college or university you've attended; any international transcripts need to be officially evaluated by World Education Services (www.wes.org)
- Three professional recommendations (including two from nurses who hold the PhD degree)
- An example of scholarly writing (a thesis, article, or paper)
- Your resume/CV
- An interview (qualified applicants will be contacted to interview based on initial review of their application)
- International applicants must meet additional requirements for admission
