Administrator and Staff Employees
The university will conduct an annual compensation review process, when funds are available, and take a thoughtful and holistic approach when reviewing employee compensation.
Regular, benefit-based employees hired on or before June 1 and who have performed at an acceptable level as set forth in the performance management process, are eligible to participate in the annual compensation review process, subject to the approval of Deans and Vice Presidents. The pool for increases is approved each year by the Board of Trustees. Supervisors and department heads will make salary increase recommendations, to be reviewed and approved by the appropriate constituents. In addition, the university may adjust the Administrator and Staff salary structure to reflect the average salary range, based on market data.
The compensation review process may include:
- Increases to bring pay rates to the new grade range minimums, if applicable.
- A merit component of varying amounts which employees may or may not receive based on individual performance. Because this component of the compensation review process is merit based, it is important that annual performance evaluations are conducted to provide a basis for determination and approval of the increase.
- Equity and/or compression adjustments.
- One-Time Payment Bonus Award to reward employees whose rate is at the grade maximum, if applicable.
