Personalize Your MBA
Make the most of your time with an MBA degree tailored to you.
No two MBA students come to the Knauss School of Business from the same background or with the same aspirations. The Knauss MBA is designed to be personalized to each student so that you’ll receive the most from your time here. Our Student Success team will work with you to craft a personalized purpose of studies that matches your aspirations and career goals. Your core coursework, electives and industry-specific networking will align with your goals, opening up new doors while you’re still in the program and expanding horizons for after you graduate.

Hone Your Skills by Applying Them
Each of our MBA students benefits from participating in real world consulting projects.
One key aspect of our newly revised MBA curriculum is providing you with even greater experiential learning opportunities. That's why we require not one, but two consulting projects — Social Impact Consulting and International Consulting projects. Whether you’re advising BMW about its plans for electric motorcycles or creating business plans for local microentrepreneurs, you’ll see where strategy meets execution and take your learning to the next level. Plus, employers will love to see these projects and experiences on your professional resume.
The result? You’ll be prepared to create an immediate impact in your career upon graduation.
Concentrations
Pursue your passion with one of six highly in-demand MBA concentrations: Business Analytics; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Finance; Organizational Leadership; Marketing; and Supply Chain Management.
Course Waivers for Part-Time MBA Students
Starting Fall 2022, Part-Time MBA students are eligible to waive up to seven core classes based on professional experience, prior coursework and assessments.

Business for Good Is Our Bottom Line
Join a community that believes in practicing business as a force for good.
At the Knauss School of Business, we share a vision of business stewardship. This means we believe businesses have a responsibility to care for and protect societies in which they operate. And at the University of San Diego — a Catholic university, and one of the first in the world to be designated a Changemaker campus — our roots run deep. So whichever business field you're interested in, you'll be joining like-minded faculty and students who will challenge you and help you grow.

A World of Business Is within Reach
Go abroad to travel, consult and learn global business first hand.
Our San Diego location provides unique opportunities for business students to push their boundaries and gain a global perspective. Whether you're taking one of our many classes abroad, or we're bringing consulting opportunities to campus, these classes help you hone core competencies that are in demand in today’s global business environment. You'll gain soft skills like intercultural communication, as well as hard skills obtained through consulting for global companies like L’Oreal, Callaway Golf and WD-40.
Most MBA study abroad classes are planned to be short and impactful, often a week long, so that even working professionals can join. Full-time students can participate in a full semester abroad.
