Lionel is an audit partner at KPMG’s San Diego office. He leads the local real estate industry audit practice. For more than 26 years, Lionel has provided professional audit services to multiple leading public and private real estate investment trusts, real estate funds, developers, homebuilders and other companies in the real estate industry in San Diego and Southern California. He serves as one of KPMG’s SEC reviewing partners for the real estate industry, serving as a quality review partner to public real estate companies across the country. He has expertise in SEC rules, PCAOB audit requirements, U.S. GAAP and IFRS. Lionel’s experience ranges from SEC filings and IPOs to private placements and syndications. He has a thorough understanding of SEC rules and regulations and has been involved in numerous public debt and equity offerings. Lionel graduated with a bachelor’s in accounting from Arizona State University. He also serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego.
