Summer and Intersession Office

Due to COVID-19 we have transitioned to remote operations. Currently, our office is not open for in-person visits. For assistance, please email us at and we will respond within 1-2 business days.

After careful consideration, the University has made the decision to extend remote teaching to include Summer 2020. All summer sessions will be conducted remotely. The safety of our community is our top priority and we believe that extending remote teaching to support social distancing efforts is the best decision at this time.

The Summer and Intersession Office at the University of San Diego, is committed to providing a comprehensive and balanced selection of high quality academic courses during the summer and Intersession. Working in collaboration with various university departments, we are committed to enhancing the educational experiences offered to students during the fall and spring semesters. We strive to enable incoming and continuing students to pursue their undergraduate and graduate academic degrees in a timely manner, while representing the values and mission of the University of San Diego.

Continuing Summer and Intersession programs provide students with the opportunity for a greater role in planning their total program. Students may enrich their course of study, reduce the overall time spent in school and decrease their regular course load by careful selection of Summer and Intersession courses. Instruction is offered in standard courses by USD faculty and visiting professors.

Please be advised, approval to enroll in Summer and Intersession courses does not constitute acceptance into a program at the University of San Diego.
