Summer Sessions 2026
Summer Sessions 2026 runs from June 1 - August 21, 2026.
- Online registration: Monday, March 2 - Thursday, March, 26 2026.
- After March 26 online registration is closed to all registrations; you may not add classes online; see Important Dates.
- Once online registration has ended, you will not be able to register yourself on the My SanDiego Portal. After paying for the course via your My Online Student Account (video tutorial) or securing financial aid, submit the Torero Hub Question Form and select Add/Drop.
- All Remote Courses Offered are Synchronous: COMM 384 (CRN 5), DSCI 300-01 (CRN 49), DSCI 303 (CRN 51), ECON 216 (CRN 11), HIST 384 (CRN 40), HIST 394 (CRN 15), MKTG 300 (CRN 23), MKTG 305 (CRN 24), MKTG 340 (CRN 25), MUSC 342 (CRN 60), PSYC 260 (CRN 33), PSYC 330 (CRN 32).
- Students whose permanent residence is in one of the listed unauthorized states cannot be enrolled in the remote courses offered by USD due to restrictions imposed by their home state laws.
- The cost for classes is based on the per unit rate of your degree program; see Tuition and Fees.
- Tuition for Summer Session is partially or fully refundable only when a student officially withdraws and according to the refund schedule.
- Units: 4 units max allowed during the 3-week term. 7 units max allowed during the 6-week term. 13 units max allowed during the combined 12-week summer term. If more units are necessary, you may request an Appeal for Overload. Before signing up for your overload class, you must get approval signatures from (1) your advisor, (2) your dean, and (3) the Summer and Intersession Associate Registrar. After completing the course information, sign the form and send it to your academic advisor. It will then be routed to the Dean's Office and the Summer and Intersession Office for approval.
