Commencement Policies for August Graduates
If you expect to complete your degree during the summer, please register for your summer courses as soon as possible. Summer courses are listed on the MySanDiego portal and also on this webpage by clicking on Courses. After online registration has ended you will not be able to register on the MySanDiego portal. Please submit your summer registration request by filling out the Torero Hub Question Form. Full tuition payment is due at the time of registration or approved summer financial aid must be on file.

Payment Options
Online registration tuition due date
Tuition payment for courses reserved during online registration is due Friday, May 1, 2026. Class registration is not officially completed until all tuition and fees are paid. Students who have not paid their tuition in full on or before May 1 will be assessed an interest fee of .8333% of their tuition. Tuition for students who register for a class after online registration closes on March 26 is due in full at the time of registration.
Payment options
By registering for classes you agree to pay all applicable tuition and registration fees. If you do not officially withdraw, you will be responsible for your registration charges.
For complete and current information on payment options which best meet your needs, see the following:
- Check: Made payable to USD, mail check to the Cashier's Office (Hughes 211); always include your USD ID number.
- E-Pay: Pay via electronic check through your MySanDiego portal. There is no service fee for the electronic check option; funds may be accessed through your non-investment checking or savings account.
- Financial Aid: Complete and submit the Supplemental Financial Aid Application through the My Financial Aid channel on the MySanDiego portal or on the Financial Aid website. You must apply for financial aid, accept the aid awarded, and submit loan applications for any loans you wish to use. Any remaining tuition balance not covered by financial aid is the responsibility of the student..
- Veterans and eligible dependents interested in applying for benefits should contact the veteran’s administrator at (619) 260-7483.

Official withdrawal
If you decide not to take a course that you reserved, you must drop the course in person at the Torero Hub. If you fail to attend the class you signed up for, and you do not come to the Torero Hub to officially withdraw, you will be assigned a grade of “F” and charged for the class.
If you do not officially withdraw, you will be responsible for your registration charges.
