Why Become an SDRCC Member?
Training and Networking
Connect with a diverse community of climate leaders and partners through SDRCC’s Networking Meetings, Mixers, and Working Groups. SDRCC's events are structured to provide an open-minded environment where climate professionals can meet, connect, and share their work throughout the region. Create and strengthen partnerships in working groups curated to discuss regional projects, funding, collaboration, and industry updates.
Funding and Technical Assistance
Gain access to expert-led workshops, personalized support, and other capacity-building opportunities. Workshops and training sessions, hosted twice a year, provide professional development in areas of need. Receive additional support from SDRCC's bi-monthly funding newsletters, grant writing support, project technical assistance, and letters of support for grant and award applications aligned with our mission.
Communication, Resources, and Research
Stay in the know with access to regional research, case studies, and valuable educational guides and tools to advance your climate initiatives. Tap into SDRCC’s team of experts and request a case study about your organization to increase visibility and showcase your organization's climate projects on SDRCC's website and social media.
Leadership
Actively engage with SDRCC and drive its mission forward by participating in SDRCC's subcommittees and Advisory Board. Become an Advisory Board member and meet monthly with staff to provide feedback on upcoming events and projects, or join a subcommittee and leave a mark on SDRCC programs, membership, and funding.
Ready to Apply?
SDRCC memberships are designed for a whole organization, not individuals. Once an organization is accepted to be an SDRCC member, membership benefits apply to all employees within that organization. All members are expected to adhere by the SDRCC Member Code of Conduct upon membership acceptance.

Core Members
SDRCC welcomes cities, special jurisdictions, public agencies, nonprofits, and philanthropic and academic institutions to join as Core Members across three tiers of membership: Participating, Supporting, and Leading. Each tier gains access to benefits such as SDRCC Working Groups, Members-Only Mixers, and SDRCC-led technical assistance and resources. Membership level is determined by an annual contribution, and the amount an organization is required to contribute to join a level is based on organization or city size. In-kind payment is available for organizations as an alternative to annual monetary contributions.
For-Profit Members
SDRCC welcomes for-profit organizations to join as either Working Group Members or Sustaining Supporters. Working Group Member benefits range from access to SDRCC Working Groups, Members-Only Mixers, and limited comped tickets to SDRCC's Network Meetings and trainings. Upgrading to a Sustaining Supporter offers additional benefits, including logo recognition on SDRCC's website, the opportunity to host an SDRCC Members-Only Mixer, increased quantity of comped tickets to SDRCC events . The amount an organization is required to contribute to join is based on annual revenue.
Membership Application Process
Interested organizations are encouraged to join SDRCC at any time. New members will be assessed on the alignment of SDRCC's goals, values, and programs and voted on by SDRCC's Advisory Board. Membership is active for one year from their membership acceptance date.
