Other Services
Laundry made easier? WASH Connect is an on-line washer and dryer monitoring system available to all USD students with Internet access. The system allows residents to monitor wash and dry cycles via the app.
Laundry Facilities are conveniently located in all Residential Living Areas. The cost for a load of laundry in the washer is $1.75 and dryers are $1.25. You can pay for laundry with the WASH Connect app, or with a credit or debit card at the laundry machine (an $8 hold is placed on your bank account for the first payment using credit/debit cards, and should be refunded within a few days).
Any complaints or reports of lost money or broken machines may be referred directly to WASH Service at 800-279-1234 (24 hour) or via the WASH app. Please note and refer to the number on the machine when making your report.

A student living on campus is assigned a mailing address that he/she/they can keep for as long as they reside in on-campus housing. On-campus housing is limited to the Camino/Founders, Maher, Valley A, Valley B, San Buenaventura, San Antonio de Padua, Manchester Village, Alcalá Vista and Presidio Terrace Apartment residents. Residents living at Pacific Ridge under the USD master lease must follow the proper channels to receive mail at Pacific Ridge.
Students will NOT have a physical mailbox to check. The student will be notified via their USD email address when they have any mail, letters, magazines, flats or packages, and must present their ID at the service window when they pick up their item(s).
In order to insure prompt delivery of student mail and packages please be sure that mail is addressed in the following way:
STUDENT FIRST & LAST NAME
5998 Alcala Park Unit ____
San Diego, CA 92110
The unit number is: the first initial of the student's first name, first initial of last name, and the last three numbers of the student’s USD ID number. EX: AB009
If you are unable to locate your mailing address or have any questions regarding receiving mail, please contact the mail center.
