USD President James T. Harris

The Community Engaged Campus

“For 20 years, USD has achieved the Carnegie Foundation’s 'Community Engaged' campus designation, part of a small group of schools nationally who demonstrate excellence in community and civic engagement. Service is core to our mission as a Contemporary Catholic university, and there are many wonderful examples of our community partnerships and connections at work across our campus and in every academic unit. I want to thank our faculty, staff, alumni and friends for the many ways you live our mission through the ways you contribute to serving the common good.”

— President James T. Harris III, DEd
