University's annual summer fundraiser grows Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund

The University of San Diego (USD) welcomed more than 650 guests to the scenic Garden of the Sea at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice for the 17th annual USD Wine Classic on July 12. Attendees savored world-class wines, gourmet food and live music, all while coming together for a meaningful cause.
The 2025 Wine Classic raised approximately $60,000 in net proceeds that will further endow alumni student scholarship funds, ensuring the impact of this event continues to grow in future years.
The annual summer event is a fundraiser for the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund and has raised more than $1 million in net proceeds for student scholarships. Proceeds from the event provide critical scholarship funding, helping these students pursue their educational goals with fewer financial barriers.
The event also brought together alumni, donors and university leaders, all committed to advancing access and success for first-generation Toreros.
A spirited auction rounded out the afternoon, featuring exclusive experiences and donated items from local businesses and alumni entrepreneurs. Guests enjoyed the festivities, knowing their contributions were creating pathways to success for students breaking new ground in their families.
As USD looks ahead to continued growth in scholarship programs, the Wine Classic remains a cherished tradition where community, culture, and cause unite.
