The Student Health Center shares the University's commitment to provide special support and services for students which include: confidential pregnancy testing, prenatal health counseling, referral to community specialists for obstetrical care, assistance with access to care and other resources, as well as other general health needs. The providers in the Student Health Center offer care free of judgment. There may be minimal costs for labs, however, the Heath Center will assist those needing financial assistance.
The Counseling Center offers free, confidential services to currently enrolled students. Students can access services by attending walk-in hours (11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday-Friday) or by calling Public Safety (619) 260-2222 and asking to speak with the counselor on-call.
No. You may stay at USD if you wish and will receive the full support of the University community. Students are often concerned that they will face disciplinary action as a consequence of becoming pregnant, but this is not true. The University will do all it can to accommodate your needs and concerns regarding coursework and housing. The University of San Diego is committed to that the care and support of family, which is at the heart of Catholic social teaching.
