Co-Founder and Managing Director of Courage Housing

Robert is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Courage Housing, an investment firm committed to developing and operating multifamily housing that empowers new Americans to flourish. Through strategic partnerships with resettlement non-profits and public entities, Courage Housing aims to tackle the nation's refugee and affordable housing crises by deploying capital and expertise to create the conditions for thriving communities.

As the Managing Director of Courage Housing, Robert oversees the firm's investments and collaborates with diverse stakeholders to develop and preserve affordable housing that maximizes its impact on the lives of refugees and their communities.

Before co-founding Courage Housing, Robert’s experience included serving as the Executive Director at AMP, a global partnership and investing initiative launched by Secretary Clinton at the State Department. In this role, Robert worked alongside renowned partners such as the World Bank, The Aspen Institute, The Rockefeller Foundation, and Fortune 100 companies to drive impact on a global scale, fostering collaboration and innovation to address pressing global challenges.

Robert serves on the boards of Kids Included Together, the national leader in after-school inclusion for children with disabilities, and the University of San Diego's Kroc School of Peace Studies. He is also the Co-Cubmaster of his sons' Cub Scout pack.

Robert is a fine chocolate aficionado, and is known to host port and single-origin chocolate pairings.
