Military-Connected Ally Support Training
As part of our mission, the Epstein Family Military Center seeks to support the community by engaging in dialogue about military-connected students' experiences and how university personnel can help them. We accomplish this goal by hosting military awareness training events for faculty, staff, and administrators and promoting our resources and services. Our military awareness training is based on SDSU's Military Ally training, with information tailored specifically to USD.

Join Us in Creating an Inclusive Campus
Establishing a welcoming and inclusive environment on campus plays a crucial role in supporting students who are veterans, active duty service members, and their respective families.
While people may use "veteran" in a broad sense to include all of these groups, we encourage a more encompassing term - "military connected." This adjustment recognizes a broader spectrum of individuals with ties to the military, accommodating a more diverse range of experiences and backgrounds.
Creating this atmosphere means dismantling detrimental stereotypes and behaviors, celebrating inclusion and diversity, while championing respect and understanding.
