Our Mission
The USD Military & Veterans Program provides student-focused services to all USD military-connected students, from their initial consideration of higher education, through services when they are enrolled as students and in their transition to alumni status. USD MVP services enhance military and veteran students’ abilities to achieve their higher education and career goals effectively, from a quality institution, while using their benefits as efficiently as possible.
USD MVP nurtures the academic success and personal growth of all military-connected students. We communicate the value that our military population brings to the campus and the greater community, and in turn, we counter negative stereotyping.
Our Services
Our center and program provide student-focused services to all USD military-connected students, including veterans, active-duty service members, dependent children, and spouses. Visit us at Hahn University Center 161!

Events & Programming
Our center plans and organizes various events and programs throughout the academic year with many campus partners. We also promote events organized by military-connected organizations.
Past and ongoing events include:
- Annual USD Veterans Day Ceremony & Military-Connected Celebration of Achievement Aboard the USS Midway
- Social and family events like our Welcome Back Breakfast/BBQ and San Diego Padres and Gulls Game Outings
- Community Service: Operation Stand Down San Diego, STEP's Baby Supply Drive & Cammies to College, San Diego Fleet Week
- Professional Development: Military Career Development Mixers, Workshops with community organizations, and our Career Fair
- Events hosted by Alumni Veteran Network, USD Student Veteran Organization
