Mental Well-being for Students is a 45-minute digital course that helps to equip participants with essential skills and information to navigate some of the primary stressors and emotional challenges associated with college life. The course helps with building positive self-care practices as well as learning to recognize when you or a peer may be in distress and how to access help.

Consistent with the University of San Diego's philosophy of developing the whole person, the Counseling Center's core purpose is to enhance the emotional, relational, and psychological well-being of students. We strive to facilitate students' personal growth and enhance their academic success through accessible, culturally congruent clinical and outreach services. We work in collaboration with other Wellness and university departments and community partners.
COVID-19 Update:
During the current California “Stay at Home” mandate, USD Counseling Center services will remain operational. To prioritize student safety and well-being, The Counseling Center will provide telephone assessment, consultation and support services during traditional business hours (8:30am until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday) until further notice. Students can access services by calling 619.260.4655, press 1.
As always, a Mental Health Counselor is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for urgent mental health concerns and can be reached by calling 619.260.4655 and pressing 1.

The Student Health Center aims to provide high-quality, accessible, and timely primary care: provide an innovative practice model to meet student's health needs; continue to improve efficiency in providing services; increase the understanding of services provided to students. The Disability and Learning Difference Resource Center is committed to helping students with disabilities obtain meaningful academic accommodations and support and to help improve access to the many excellent programs and activities offered by the University.
Our services include evaluating disability documentation, arranging academic accommodations and providing disability management/counseling to students with disabilities. We also coordinate with other departments, both academic and administrative, such as Residential Life, the Department of Public Safety, the School of Law, and the Dean's offices of the various schools on campus, to meet students' needs. We are available to the University community (faculty, staff, parents and all students) for consultation on a broad range of disability issues and manage the needs of students with temporary disabilities (e.g., mobility limitations and transient but severe illnesses).

Campus Assault Resources and Education (CARE) is the University of San Diego's primary effort to provide support, resources and education to the student community pertaining to sexual assault and relationship violence. Outdoor Adventures (OA) serves the USD community with opportunities to experience outdoor activities that aim to promote personal growth, leadership development, relationship building and environmental responsibility. We offer a variety of local, regional and international outings that includes Pre-Orientation Adventure, overnight trips, outdoor recreation classes and day trips around San Diego. We also operate a rental shop and resource center for individuals that choose to venture on their own excursions and need some equipment or guidance.
