Continuing Commuters
We define 'Continuing Commuters' as undergraduate students who are in their second-year or above who have been commuters since their first-year at USD.

The Changemaker Student Committee is a group of students from all over campus who practice changemaking at USD by creating programs, initiatives, and experiences to foster a community where social change thrives. The CSC:
- Represents the voice of USD’s student body
- Sees changemaking as a practice and focus on co-creating a community with the entire campus
- Strives to develop a stronger sense of belonging, a deeper collaboration between student entities and a stronger connection with each other.
Through our department we house the First-Generation Student Association or FGSA. FGSA supports all first-gen students through programming, weekly newsletters, First-Gen week and our First-Gen Student Graduation Celebration. Our monthly programming includes First-Gen Study hour, and First-Gen hour both of which are programs that provide snacks, resources, and community to students on campus. The Leadership Studies minor (LSM) offers undergraduate students in any major the opportunity to learn and develop leadership abilities in their personal, academic, and professional lives. Within the Minor, we offer the Emerging Leaders course, which not only fulfills students' Domestic Diversity Level 1 graduation requirement, but also empowers them to recognize and practice leadership in every aspect of their lives. All courses offered in the minor encourage students to explore diverse perspectives and develop the skills to identify leadership in themselves and others.
The Career Development Center supports students in developing and achieving career goals that lead to meaningful lives.
CDEV helps students get started in creating career development plans, through one-on-one appointments where students can explore career paths, internship opportunities, and much more! They can also assist you in applying for scholarships and awards like the Summer Internship Award.
Torero Treks are another great opportunity offered by the Career Development Center! Curious about what it's like to work at companies like Amazon, the San Diego Padres, or Microsoft? Apply for a Torero Trek and learn about real companies and what the world of work can look like for you!
Lastly, CDEV is a great place to get resources on how to start job searching, networking, and editing your resume and cover letters.
The Second Year Experience (SYE) Abroad program is an innovative and comprehensive international experience open to sophomore students at the University of San Diego. Students apply during their first year and will travel together with their cohort during the intercession of their sophomore year. After being enrolled in the program, all students will participate in fall seminars (to take place in the fall semester prior to departure) in preparation for their time abroad.

USD has agreements with many prestigious universities throughout the world. As a participant in an exchange program, a USD student would be one of only a few USD participants at that particular university and would, therefore, have the opportunity to fully immerse themself in the local culture and take courses alongside local students as well as other international students. The Torero Program Board puts on many different events throughout the year for students to attend and enjoy. Their wide range of programs include educational events, sporting events, entertainment, and multicultural programs. They bring guest speakers, host concerts, put on tailgates, and so much more!
The Office of Ethical Development and Restorative Practices in the Division of Student Affairs is responsible for the implementation of the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities. Through the student conduct process, this office works with students to gain greater insight into their choices and behaviors in order to provide a safe environment for the campus community, one that supports the academic mission and provides a productive living and learning environment.
