Leave of Absence and Withdrawal

All other students planning to take a leave of absence from the university during the current semester or for a future semester must request a formal leave of absence through the Center for Student Success.

Please be mindful of the tuition refund deadlines for each semester. Leave of absence requests must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on tuition refund deadline days to ensure timely processing.

All other students planning to withdraw from the university during the current semester or for a future semester must request a formal withdrawal through the Center for Student Success.

Failure to do so before leaving the campus—or, in the case of illness or other emergencies, as soon as the decision not to continue has been made—will result in non-passing grades in all courses, thereby jeopardizing eligibility to re-enter the University of San Diego or acceptance to another institution.
