Midterm Outreach and Check-Ins

The Center for Student Success (CSS) collaborates with the Office of the Registrar and various campus partners to conduct outreach to students who receive deficient grades (Ds and Fs) that are reported by faculty members and professors during a given academic semester. All students — regardless of grades — are invited to participate in one-on-one conversations with CSS staff members during midterm check-ins

During this time, we also ask students to meet with their advisor if they are having difficulty with any of their courses or if they received a midterm grade of D or F.

Throughout the semester, our office provides one-on-one sessions with a staff member, graduate assistant, or peer to support students with any concerns regarding time management, organization, critical reading skills, reading comprehension, study habits and strategies, and test preparation tips and tricks, among other academic-related areas.

Please check back in Spring 2026 for more information about upcoming midterm check-ins.
