Four USD School of Law Alumni at Klinedinst Named 2024 San Diego Super Lawyers and Rising Stars

SAN DIEGO (April 16, 2024) – Four University of San Diego (USD) alumni at Klinedinst were named by their peers as 2024 San Diego Super Lawyers® or Rising Stars®. Each year, no more than 5% of the lawyers in the state of California are named a Super Lawyer, and only 2.5% of the lawyers in the state are named Rising Stars. The following attorneys were recognized:

  • Civil Litigation, Defense: Teresa Beck, ’90 (JD), magna cum laude, is a Managing Shareholder of the Arizona and Nevada offices. She represents a wide variety of clients, including small and large businesses, non-profits, governmental entities, senior care centers, grocery chains, parking management companies, developers, law firms, insurance companies and individuals. 
  • Construction Litigation, Business: Kurt Campbell, '93 (JD) is a Shareholder and the head of Klinedinst PC’s Real Estate, Construction and Land Use Department. Mr Campell represents a wide variety of corporate clients including Fortune 500 companies, developers, general contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, and real estate professionals.
  • Professional Liability, Defense: Ian Friedman, ‘13 (JD) (Rising Star) is a Shareholder in Klinedinst’s San Diego office. Mr. Friedman’s practice focuses on professional liability defense, business litigation, and personal injury law. He represents business entities, as well as individuals in multi-million dollar disputes involving the ownership and operation of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. 
  • Professional Liability, Defense: Irean Swan, ‘16 (JD) (Rising Star) is a Shareholder in the San Diego office of Klinedinst PC. Ms. Swan’s practice focuses on complex litigation, with a focus in intellectual property, business, and professional liability matters. She has significant federal and state litigation experience and success with trial, pre-trial, and post-trial motions.
