University of San Diego Set to Celebrate Law, Graduate and Undergraduate Students During Commencement Ceremonies

San Diego, CA – The University of San Diego will hold in-person commencement ceremonies over two weekends beginning this Saturday, May 21. This year, more than 2,900 students will be graduating during five commencement ceremonies at Torero Stadium.

  • Saturday, May 21, 9 a.m.— School of Law 
  • Sunday, May 22, 9 a.m.— Graduate Programs: School of Leadership and Education Sciences, Professional & Continuing Education
  • Saturday, May 28, 9 a.m.— Graduate Programs: College of Arts and Sciences, Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science, Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies, Knauss School of Business, Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering
  • Sunday, May 29, 9 a.m.— Undergraduate Programs: College of Arts and Sciences
  • Sunday, May 29, 2:00 p.m.— Undergraduate Programs: Knauss School of Business, Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering

2022 Undergraduate Valedictorians:

  • Sarah Sisney is receiving her bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience from USD’s College of Arts and Sciences
  • Chaney Wollaston is receiving her bachelor’s degree in business economics and accounting from USD’s Knauss School of Business
  • Matthew Soares is receiving his bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from USD’s Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering

Graduating Class Highlights:

  • Five McNair Scholars will continue on to master's degree programs and five McNair Scholars will continue on to doctoral programs
  • The Naval ROTC program will commission 15 graduates, including nine Navy Ensigns and six Marine Corps Second Lieutenants
  • Two students have accepted appointments with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps
  • Kellyn Wilde ’22 received a Fulbright award and will use this opportunity to promote a better understanding between the people of the United States and Latin America through her role as an English teaching assistant
  • Official data will not be available for several months, but many graduating students have accepted career-track positions including appointments at companies such as Amazon, Deloitte, Dell Technologies, Northrop Grumman and Qualcomm
