San Diego business and political leaders like to boast about Comic-Con because of the economic impact of the event which also brings a lot of wacky joy to the city. Comic-Con is so important that civic leaders are doing everything in their power to ensure the convention center is expanded to accommodate the event for years to come. It is a sexy event.
The other day I read about the $185 million beer craft industry, reported to be even “bigger than Comic-Con.” The “Hops Highway” along route 78 is another sexy enterprise that has secured bragging rights in San Diego. (Full Story)
