USD Students Ask Legislature to 'Stand up for Rosie'

U-T San Diego -- With a symbol of World War II determination as its emblem, a group from the University of San Diego is headed to Sacramento Monday to lobby for reform of the state’s assisted living facilities.

Every year, students in the university’s Nonprofit Leadership and Management program pick advocacy causes to pursue in the capital. This year, driven by several media projects that shed a light on a lack of regulation and accountability in the industry, assisted living rose to the top of the list. (Full Story)
