Novel Debut
Inside USD -- For some writers, it can take many years — and much blood, sweat and tears — to write, revise, and ultimately publish a novel. And even then, after all of the labor of love and finessing of words, some are still never quite able to do so.
But the journey towards publication has been much shorter for a very talented University of San Diego writer. Sophomore Shannon M. Wheeler ‘15 can now check “wrote and published a novel” off of her list.
Wheeler’s impressive debut novel Sea Change (Tor Books, $24.99 hardcover) comes out June 18 and already the reviews are quite good.
“I’ve always had an inherent desire to tell stories and share those stories with other people,” said Wheeler. “I’m interested in understanding the behavior of other people and why people act the way they do. I’ve found I can answer these questions through writing.” (Full Article)
