Social Innovation Challenge and Verizon: $10k Green Award

The USD Social Innovation Challenge is excited to present the Verizon Green Award to support students in the challenge to develop an "out of the box" model to solve a real environmental or energy problem in a sustainable way.

The Verizon "Environmental Sustainability" track will award $10,000 in cash prizes for the best projects. Students are invited to address issues such as energy alternatives, sustainable use of natural resources, recycling and consumption, water usage, and lifestyles for sustainability, among others. Students' creations will be an example of how ideas for preserving our environment can be transformative, taking shape in the form of innovative ventures. Innovative means that students will propose solutions that are more creative, resourceful, efficient, adaptive and/or novel compared to existing ones.
