Doctoral Candidate Tammy Wu Moriarty Receives Outstanding Recognition

Department of Leadership Studies doctoral candidate Tammy Wu Moriarty was nominated and extended an invitation to attend the David L. Clark National Graduate Student Research Seminar in April 2013. The highly selective gathering "brings together emerging educational leadership and policy scholars with noted researchers for two days of presentations, generative discussion, and professional growth."

The David L. Clark Seminar in Educational Administration & Policy is sponsored by the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA) and Divisions A and L of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). Clark Seminar participants are outstanding doctoral students in educational leadership, administration, and/or policy, seeking careers in research. Many of the graduates of this seminar are now faculty members at major research institutions in the U.S. and Canada.

The Department of Leadership Studies is also pleased that Tammy is now the second scholar in as many years to receive the honor. CEPAL Senior Research Associate, Julie Zoellin Cramer received a Clark Seminar invitation in 2012.
