U.N. Advocate for Children in War Zones to Speak at USD
San Diego Union Tribune -- Radhika Coomaraswamy, a United Nations’ under-secretary-general and special representative for children and armed conflict, will speak at the University of San Diego on May 7.
Coomarswamy will talk about her work with governments and armed groups to prevent the recruitment of child soldiers, protect children in conflict zones and reintegrate into society young people who have been forced to take up arms. (Full Story)
