Internationalization as a Strategic Direction at USD:

Located on the Pacific Rim and just 22 miles from the Mexican border, the University of San Diego is optimally positioned for international activity. USD has been involved in international instruction, research, and service throughout the world for many years, and we're expanding our activities with an increased emphasis on the importance of global awareness for the entire campus community. One of USD's strategic directions specifically addresses the importance of internationalization:

Global Connections and Impact: The university will enhance its reputation and reach by strengthening its connections with local, national, and international communities and its contributions to improving the global human condition.
